Orlando, FL >> Churches in Florida and the southern region are eagerly preparing for Mission: X, seven U.S. and international mission trips taking place this July and August. From New Orleans to Haiti, Bolivia to Wales, members of Sovereign Grace churches in Florida and the southern region will have the privilege to “live the commission.” The trips’ purposes are as diverse as their locations. Some will involve construction teams, others medical aid, but all will provide opportunities to share and spread the gospel.

Nagongera, Uganda >> In October 2005, a team of doctors and nurses from five Sovereign Grace churches traveled to Nagongera Gospel Centre in rural Uganda. Working with Covenant Mercies (a ministry sponsored by Covenant Fellowship Church), the team treated approximately 1,500 patients, tested many children for HIV, and arranged medical care for children who tested positive. La Paz, Bolivia >> Kristen Boyd (Sovereign Grace Church, Titusville, FL) went to La Paz in the summer of 2005 with a team of young people from Sovereign Grace churches in Florida. Her trip was part of a project called Mission:X, a group of short-term service/evangelism teams that traveled to cities in Florida and in other countries. As she served Iglesia en La Paz (The Church in La Paz) and shared the gospel in that city, Kristen found out what really matters on a missions trip. Here's her story.
