Knoxville, TN >> Cornerstone Church of Knoxville is putting its brand-new building to good use. On February 2–5, the church hosted Bob Kauflin and rap artist Curt “Voice” Allen (from Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg, MD) for several weekend events. Curt and his DJ, Jake Campbell, gave a concert for more than 200 students at Volunteers for Christ (Cornerstone’s campus outreach to the University of Tennessee). On Friday, Bob spoke at a banquet to honor the worship team. On Saturday, he taught a seminar about the role of music in corporate worship, drawing 117 participants including many guests from churches throughout the Knoxville area. At Cornerstone’s Sunday meeting, Bob preached and Curt talked about his experiences at Covenant Life Church—as well as performing a rap for the congregation.
